The standard output window
In this window you will see all messages sent to you by the game in response to your commands or to game events. This really is the equivalent of your regular telnet safe for a few differences:

- The colours are not limited to the 16 telnet colours and can be configured any way you want (see "help colours" for more information)
- The window displays small icons:
- Next to room names
- Next to things and mobiles in the room you are in
- Whenever a sun goes up or down
- Whenever a spell is cast (and in your grimoire)
- The window does not display an echo of the commands you type (see inputs history window below)
As an output window, this window does not offer interaction (you cannot type in it or click, safe if you want to perform a copy / paste, that is).
The inputs window

The inputs window allows you to type commands as you would do with a telnet connection: simply click inside it, type your command and hit return. Your command will be sent to the game and the result displayed in the output windows.
You may store inputs for later reuse into 9 slots:
- To store an input, type it in the input window (without hitting return) and hit Alt+n, n being a number between 1 and 9
- Whenever you want to send this input, hit Ctrl+n and the command will be sent directly (no need for return)
- This setup won't be kept between connections though
Inputs history

This window
displays the list of inputs you have entered. Please note that inputs that have
been typed several time successively will only be displayed once.
Whenever
you click on an input, the exact same command will be directly sent to the
game as if you had typed it again.
Character statistics
The character portrait displays a picture of your character based upon their race and gender:

Directly
beneath the portrait are a few key data:
-
Icons display your character alignment and status (registered or not, player or Wizard etc.)
- Next to them is the age of your character (ours is still young)
- An icon allows you knowing at a glance whever you are a hero or a wimp
- Eventually, you will see your current level
Hovering your mouse over any of these zones will give you more insight, especially when beginning to play.
Below these icons are displayed (see help score for more information):
- Your dodge score (chances of avoiding being hit by opponents)
- Your hit score (chances of hitting your opponent… Depending on their dodge score)
- The chances you have of being granted an additional attack each round when fighting
- Your damage (the damage of your weapon followed by your basic damage)
- Your mental shield score (chances of having your opponents fail casting spells at you)
- Your focus score (chances of successfully casting a spell)
- The power of your spells
On the right are your current protections from all possible sources of damage:
- Bash, pierce and cut protections are the most common and will generally be improved by the armours you wear
- Other damage types are less common and should not worry you until you have reached a high-enough level (how mysterious does that sound?).
Score gauges
Four gouges
are displayed in a specific window:

- In red, your current (out of your maximum) hit points, followed by the number of hit points you regenerate per minute (darker red bar)
- In blue, your current (out of your maximum) spell points, followed by the number of spell points you regenerate per minute (darker blue bar). This one might remain equal to 0 for quite some time, but beginners should not worry about spells before they reach level 3.
- The green gauge displays your current experience points and the quantity needed to reach the next level.
- Eventually, the yellow gauge will tell you how much of the world you have visited.
These gauges will lead you towards the appropriate help when you hover your mouse over them.
Inventory
The inventory window shows information and helps you interact with items around you:

- The left zones are related to items you carry:
- In your pockets (using the pocket / unpocket commands)
- Worn (jewelry and fancy clothes)
- Plainly in your hands
- The central zone focuses on the items you are currently using:
- Either as armour (displaying them next to the corresponding body parts)
- Or as a wielded weapon (in red)
- Or your steed if you have any (top left)
- The right zone gives you information on the items lying around
- On the ground (top zone)
- Within a container (bottom zone)
- In addition, your current wealth is displayed in the middle of this right zone
Items are coloured according to what you can do with them (eat, wield, wear, etc.)
You can interact with inventory zones:
- By hovering your mouse over an item to see its name
- By clicking on an item to see its description displayed in your output window
- By dragging and dropping an item from one zone to another in order to move them (pocket, wear, get, drop...)
- By dragging and dropping an item on your character silhouette (central zone) to eat it
- By selecting all items of a given zone (use the star icon next to the zone)
Diary
A tree representation of your in-game diary makes up the diary window, storing all the quests you perform while exploring the world of Frandum:

Quests are organized in rubrics and constitute the leaves of the tree. If you click on a quest name, its description will be displayed in the output window.
Small world map
This window displays a graphical map (the same map you can find on the Frandum website). This map corresponds to the known world of Frandum and is entirely dimmed by default, yet as you explore the world it will be revealed to you (“fog of war” effect).
Your current location in the world will be displayed through a red square on the map: please note that certain locations are outside the scope of the map and will not show (starting with the first few rooms you will discover and which constitute the tutorial).
